3 Year Anniversary  / Val Halus (wife)

Today it has been three years since you left this world. It seems like only yesterday and the memory of that time is still clear in my head. The unanswered questions, remain unanswered and forever will be. I know the pain you suffered here and hope that you are in a wonderful peaceful existence now. Three years....

The boys will never forget you and always talk about you. We will be paying tribute by placing a memorial stone at the cemetary with my grandparents. A place for the boys to go when they need to feel close to you.

You will always have a special place in my heart. Keep watch over the boys and send them the signs now and then that you are near. They need that/

I believe in Angels!! And I know that you are a beautiful one now. Fly high Mike and watch the world below. Your pain is gone and you are free!!!

Letter to Mike  / Val (Wife)
I know you were with us as we travelled to Pittsburgh this past weekend. All the memories came flooding back and standing in Carol's backyard looking at our house made me realize how much I miss it, the city and you. So much has changed in three years. I wish we could turn back the clock and do it all over but I know we can't do that. I know your at peace now and you demons have been put to rest. They can't hurt you anymore.
It was great to see everyone in your family again and what a nice surprise to see your friends, Joe, Lance and Gim. I saw more people this time than I ever have. I miss you Mike. I wish things would have turned out differently but now, I have to go on without you until one day, when we're together again. Stay with us, watch over us and keep the kids safe. We love you so much!!! Close

Hello my dear friend, Valerie
It is so good to see your web site and to put a face to Mike - to see some of his life's journey in pictures.  I pray for your family for  healing and peace and feel it an honour that I have been able to share some of your grief journey with you.  Thanks for adding such warmth and caring to those on FFOS.  Close

Valerie, I'm glad you were able to add the graphics to Mike's site, they look very nice.  You have a very loving and moving site to honor him.  He and and Joe are indeed soaring with the angels. Close

To Where You Are  / Valerie (wife)

Who can say for certain,
Maybe you're still here.
I feel you all around me,
Your memory's so clear.

Deep in the stillness,
I can hear you speak.
You're still an inspiration,
Can it be(?)
That you are mine,
Forever love.
And you are watching over me,
From up above.

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile.
If only for a while to know you're there,
A breath aways's not far
To Where You Are.

Are you gently sleeping?
Here inside my dream.
And isn't faith believing,
All power can't be seen.

As my heart holds you,
just one beat away.
I cherish all you gave me, every day.
Cause you are my,
Forever love.
Watching me, from up above.
And I believe,
That angels breath,
And that love will live on and never leave.

Fly me up to where you are,
Beyond the distant star.
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile.
If only for a while to know you're there
A breath away's not far,
To Where You Are.

I know your there,
A breath away's not far
To Where You Are.

What a great idea to keep the memory alive! It's sad to watch but sweet at the same time. Close
